30 Off The Menu Meals Available by Request Only (Grub Street)
This is just the New York one. At the jump there are also Chicago, LA, Philly, SF and Boston.

TMZ mentions & sorta polks fun of a Hidden City favorite.
Proof there is a wide gap between NYC grit and LA’s Tinseltown.

Another One For The Beer Drinkers
If you are not a beer drinker, there is no real reason to read past this sentence. No, I’m serious, you will not be interested in this at all. Stanton Social (17 Stanton between Bowery & Chrystie) is a beer drinker’s bar on an otherwise very quiet block. There beer list is really extensive (and they have a cask!) and they actually give pretty caring descriptions of each brew. The bartenders are often willing to give you their own review of the beers which is even more helpful. They also don’t seem to mind if you ask questions, a definite plus in my opinion if you are trying a new beer.
The crowd sizes can be hit or miss. I have been here when it was jam packed and I have been here when we were the only ones in the bar. I was with a fellow beer appreciator when it was quiet and I actually liked it better. When its nice out there is a tented in porch that is rather nice to hang out in. The only time its tough is when they really crank the music up on Saturday nights. It can tend to be a little awkward in there when they do.
I highly recommend hitting up a week night happy hour to learn some new beers or grab a hard to find favorite.

Grub Streets 101 Best Restaurants in NYC
While I seem to have done some good work on this list… there is still a lot to go.
Also, check out Immaculate Infatuatiuon’s 11 that deserved to be on the list (totally agree about Mas Farmhouse) http://www.immaculateinfatuation.com/features/11-they-left-out.
